About Select Appliance
My goal is to set your mind at ease about whom you are doing business with and provide you with the information you need to make a buying decision that you and your family will be happy with for many years.
My related business experience is a combination of 15 years as a restaurant equipment dealership manager plus 10 years as the product designer and owner of a major home cooking appliance manufacturing company. This unique combination of experiences lends insight to understanding the needs and concerns of the consumer, along with an understanding of manufacturing quality and cooking feature benefits.
My name is Russell Zipkin, founder and creator of the Russell Range line of appliances. In addition to working and learning from many cooking professionals including famous TV chefs, Jacques Pepin and Martin Yan, I enjoyed recognition for:
- Having created the first line of high-powered cooktops and ranges that fit absolutely flush into standard 24" deep kitchen cabinets.
- Introducing, to the home market, a continuous style top grate pattern to allow easy sliding of cookware from burner to burner, known commonly as "s" style grates.
- Having created a line of high quality custom built ventilation hoods.
- Speaking in front of the Department of Energy panel deciding the fate of energy usage regulation among home cooking appliances.
- Writing an article on home ventilation, which was published in "Kitchens by Professional Designers", Book VIII.
- Winning the "Innovative Product of the Year" for kitchen products in 1996, awarded by Kitchen & Bath Business Magazine, for the PlusSteam range. |
