Legnoart (pronounced Lay-no-art) is made in the northern Italian town of Omegna, about 50 miles from Milan. Omegna is built around Lake Orta and surrounded by mountains - it's beautiful. If you're travelling the Legnoart staff will be proud to show you the factory.
The business is run by Enrico Albertini and is very much a family business. The designs are all by Enrico himself. Enrico sets high standards of beauty and requires that all products share form and function, as well as being beautiful to look at.
Each product must be perfect, true to the designer's creation, no matter if it is more difficult to produce, or takes a little longer. The amount of work necessary to create these trolleys means that they are out of reach for many, but that they are a "must have" for anyone seeking product at the pinnacle of design and quality.
All models are made with solid beech wood, stainless steel, or heavy aluminum. All Legnoart Kitchen Carts have end-grain linden-wood work tops. Drawers glide smoothly and positively on Nylon/ball-bearing glides. Casters are both non-marring and locking for steadiness. Legnoart work stations are shipped fully assembled or almost fully assembled. Delivery is made by truck according to these terms, and deliveries must be signed for. Redelivery charges apply in the event re-delivery is necessary due to "nobody home." |
