TROY, Mich., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- After retailing giants Kmart and Sears Holdings Corporation announced their historic merger in 2005, Kmart resized their Troy, Michigan headquarters and consolidated some staff at the Sears headquarters in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Under the direction of Abacus Advisors of Manhattan, New York, National Retail Equipment Liquidators (NREL) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, has stepped in to conduct a massive total liquidation of large portions of the Troy facility's contents. NREL began selling the excess fixed assets, including office furniture, fixtures, and equipment, from Kmart's Michigan headquarters on April 24, 2006.
